Lasha Barbosa

Hello everyone,

My name is Lasha Barbosa. I am an artist who resides in Northern Canada.

A few years ago, I fought a rare brain tumor battle and under went brain surgery. Recently, I was diagnosed with another brain tumor (so my brain battle continues).

These brain tumors have taken so much from me; they took my health, my career, my future plans/goals, my friends, my family... the list goes on.

But, as with all things negative there is always a positive.
I applied my previous woodworking background to creating art and through that, I created a little artistic world around me.

I do a lot of pyrography (realism and Carrollian style pieces) and I Scroll Saw (turning wood into beautiful pieces of artwork).
Wood is my medium of choice!
I also draw black and white realism pieces.

Due to my brain tumor battles, I suffer from multiple health concerns, PTSD, and social issues which makes life... well... difficult, to say the least.
But, when I am doing my art I am in my own safe creative space!

I am here to expand my horizons so I may expand my little peaceful artistic world!
