Karen Dixon

As of January 20, 2022, I entered a new stage of my life. I became a widow. After 39 years with the same person, I am slowly and mindfully learning how to live without him while keeping the gifts of our relationship. Nearing 70 years of age and being fully retired, I am exploring areas that I have put off due to the constraints of responsibility for others. Beginning to write to be published brought me to Domestika to receive tangible guidance for success in this endeavor. I believe I have quite a bit to share that encompasses a myriad of life’s tragedies and triumphs, and I trust that participating here will spur me on to success. I am starting with a memoir and hope to venture into fiction. I look forward to sharing a community with others who are endeavoring to be creative. And I may not stop with writing since Domestika offers other areas of expertise.
