Karen Kemp

I'm an illustrator and magazine designer. I've been transitioning toward doing more illustration for the last three years, and it was surface design that inspired me on this pivot. I did my first magazine feature illustration at the end of 2021 — a portrait with lettering, which the client loved and ended up buying the original art too. I love so many things — portraits, food illustration, surface design, personal book projects — but they all circle around a similar theme, enjoying nature, getting outside to wander, respecting people and the earth, and living a healthy lifestyle.
