Hi, I’m Jo.
I’ve been finding myself through creativity for a few years now, since leaving work through ill-health.
Initially making jewellery and having an interest in recycled materials and gemstones, I now want to explore depicting landscapes and nature using thread and mixed media.
I am drawn to the coast, countryside, historic architecture, and textures in nature, and would love to create pieces inspired by, and depicting these elements.
I have sewn since childhood and I studied fashion at college. I love the familiarity and comfort of working with cloth and thread, but want to learn contemporary techniques and new ways to express myself with textiles and mixed media.
