Jamie Nielsen

Jamie Nielsen is an ecologist and returned U.S. Peace Corps volunteer who always loved writing but only recently found her way to narrative non-fiction. She is currently drafting a memoir about her parents' deaths and the subsequent adoption of her daughter from India in 2017. She lives in Flagstaff, Arizona with her husband, two children and their sweet-but-crazy rescue dog, Rainy.
Her first essay about finding light in dark times can be found in The Sunlight Press.
Her essay “Letting Go of a Wheelchair” was a contest finalist featured in the Arizona Authors’ Association Arizona Literary Magazine 2021.
