Emi

Emily Rimada was born and raised in Miami, FL. She has been teaching art for ten years at a charter school by Surfside, FL. Working by the beach provides opportunities to paint the colorful Miami surfline.

Currently, her work explores the Miami landscape from a color-field theory perspective. Emily's works on paper are mixed media works mostly composed of acrylics, chalk pastels, and encaustic. She connects to the work by using color and texture to broaden upon the ever-expanding Miami skyline and seascape views.
