I’m a London-based writer and editor, focusing on art, design and occasionally music. I work mostly as senior editor at AIGA Eye on Design, focusing on its online side more than its print offer, as well as being an editor at large at Elephant, the editor of annual typography print mag Type Notes and taking on various other freelance work for Computer Arts, Creative Review, AnOther, Crack, Creative Boom, Wrap magazine and others. In 2018 my book Great Minds Don't Think Alike was published by Ilex Press (/great-minds-dont-think-alike/9781781576854/).
I started out working part time at a long defunct music magazine while at uni about 14 years ago. My first proper job was at Design Week, which was print, then wasn’t, then I was deputy editor at It’s Nice That.
When I'm not writing, I love working on daft music projects, including the VJ/DJ collective Center Parcs Fun Time Gang, for which I DJ and create projections for clubnights, and used to run our own nights and a one-off exhibition in east London. I also make music with other people under the collective name Piggin' Jazz () and in an all-girl band called Superstation Twatville ().
