Eduard Diaconu

Hello there,
I’m Eduard and I, as many other artists, might be an alien… Jk, let’s say I’m a dreamer that always finds the beauty inside the ugly and vice versa. I always hope for a different future and I never give up, not even when life seems to be against me.
As a young artist from Romania, I always battle with the strict rules and mentalities that follow my countries turbulent past, that also reflect on how art is understood and practised. I consider myself to be a fighter of the arts, and one of the future leaders (hopefully, at least in my field) that will keep pushing the boundaries of what art is, will be and what it means for the human heritage and its evolution.
My thoughts about the world reflect how I see humanity – a small particle always in motion in a system that is constantly growing. In perspective we are so small compared to the rest of the mechanism, but we are big when it comes to the fact that we can dream beyond every galaxy and the corners of the universe. I truly believe we have a huge potential, but we still have to find it and to give it a big push out into the world.
So that being said, I love to create worlds, universes, artificial paradises that can overcome the imagination of a person or that can make them feel that they belong somewhere, or even better, FREE. It doesn’t matter what medium I use to create my art, whether is ceramic design, graphic design or book illustrations, as long as the result is going to put a smile on the viewers, or a question mark that simply says: I have a brain, it’s working, it helps me think and now I can ask myself about this particular artwork that, may or may not have triggered the desire to search and find answers.
Since I’ve already had an artistic base growing up at the moment I entered my university years, I could easily understand and, immediately, put in practice what I’ve learned and observed. I’ve always been a good observer of the world, but in this years, when I used to commute every day to my courses and home, back and forth, I’ve mastered (in my opinion) the art of seeing and listening to the universe and every single creature and object that is part of it. All the stories (good or bad) heard on the train or the buss, all the pain and the happiness witnessed and the nature around it, ultimately, shaped my view of the world and the view and what I think about my art.
My main source of inspiration will always be other dreamers and truth seekers that never stop hoping and never stop thinking while running.
