I'm terrible at illustrating and drawing but I love having fun with it and sitting around with friends and pencils and paper and trying to do things. My favourite illustrations are of everyday objects by artists like Billie Justice Thomson. I also love still life paintings, and graffiti and street art (Rone is a favorite). Picasso and his contemporaries with their 'contour drawings' that look like a continuous line are so great. I'm a voracious reader and influenced a lot by books, words, letters and narrative. Also interior design and fabrics are a great source of texture and colour and inspiration.
