Portrait illustré avec Procreate

Excellent course! I actually took this class a couple of years ago and just came back for a refresher. I've done many many portraits with the knowledge I learned in this class.

It is very hard to follow what the instructor is doing, as she only shared the app screen. You cannot see the cursor. I found myself moving back and forward many times in the video to catch the changes she applied. Also she doesn't explain much the "why", instead, she directly applies what she says. Thus, it's more or less following what she is drawing instead of learning the tricks.

I enjoyed Elena's course a lot. I have some experience with digital and watercolor style art already, but it was very insightful and inspiring to learn a new approach. Especially incorporating swatches and spatters kinda stuck with me, also the decorative elements - my art always seems so clean and boring so this might be a gamechanger :)
Drawing on top of a reference picture still kinda feels like cheating though ;D

I purchased this course because I wanted to learn how to draw people more realistically while adding fun textures and patterns...but she didn't draw anything, she spent 25+ minutes tracing someone's portrait rather than drawing her own. I still learned a lot about textures and references but I was very disappointed by this course
