Carol Manny

I am retired educator who loves anything creative. I was born a red head and have surrounded myself with color my whole life. I love bold bright colors and can be moved by the color of a cobalt vase or a ripe pear. My first medium was fabric and I not only sewed but I taught teenagers to sew and encouraged them not to follow patterns or make straight line quilts but enjoy what they could create with the fabric. I make collages using my own recycled art work , acrylic paint and ink and pastels. I make abstract pieces but love using the shapes found in nature for my work. I enjoy painting folk art and funky faces . using all colors. I live in Central Illinois with my dog Riley. When i am not painting or working my part time job, I garden and I love to take tides through the countryside.
