Colin Holloway

I long to be employed as an artist, in some capacity. My influences are French impressionist painters and some of the surrealists. I also like Jamie Hewlett and how his work melds with the virtual band Gorillaz. Apart from that it is mostly film,film, film, I am often looking at movies. Many and varied.
My favourite movies are action, but I will from time to time watch all genres , except maybe horror.
I do like animated movies from time to time also. Unfortunately I cannot really name any strong influences! I am a generalist as well. I like drawing anything . This doesn’t help me.I am like a lost soul looking for my style as a result. Currently Environment and even still life is probably my best, but I just can’t put down characters. I am hoping that as animation seems to cover the full spectrum that, that might suit me best. Despite the fact that I like drawing stylised characters, the like of which T.B. Choi draws, I have a penchant for realism as well. Perhaps T.B. Choi is my strongest influence .
I would love to achieve the degree of expression plus the dramatic line work that she seems to achieve. Plus I know she animates some of her stuff as well.
