Adeline Wang

Hi! My name is Adeline and I am a self-taught punch needle artist and designer.

Over the years, I’ve dabbled in different art media and I consider myself lucky to have found punch needle back in 2019. My punch needle journey has been and still is evolving as I learn and grow in my practice. I started with small projects such as pillows, trivets, and crossbody bags. As I tried to perfect my stitches, I quickly moved on to larger projects like rugs and wall hangings. During that time, I advanced from traditional punch needle rug hooking to a broader multi-texture and multi-technique fiber world. I was able to incorporate weaving, embroidery, beading and tufting into my work and now the possibilities are endless!

These days, besides creating my own experimental and “just for fun” projects, I’m also designing digital punch needle patterns and working on commissions and collaborations.

Punch needle is my tool of self expression and my creative outlet. I’ve always enjoyed turning my own designs into functional beauties and it changed my life when I realized my art can also bring joy to someone else. It has lead me to a supportive community of fiber lovers and friends, for which I will be forever grateful.
