Brian Johnson

While I've been an artist my entire life, i haven't really given due time and energy to my inner vision until 2013. My skills and creative vision has continued to expand and I am always looking for ways to improve my skills at telling the story i want to tell. My "passion project" is creating "slice of life" illustrations of the robotic inhabitants of a fictional (ans as yet unnamed) world. The conceit is that my illustrations are an ongoing project to document my life with robots as I tag along on their explorations and adventures, explore their cities, and ponder what it is that makes us different…and maybe not so different. Each day I meet a new robot is a new opportunity to better understand myself and the world around us. (Also: why do cats and robots seem to get along so well?)
