I am a Multimedia freelance designer/Art Director, above that I am 3 years one month and some change clean and sober from drugs and alcohol and prescription medication. Which I am incredibly proud of because recovery has given me a new outlook on life and wanting to find courage to find meaning and purpose through design and share my gifts with the world. I have been given a second change at life and I am wanting to find the courage to make a difference in this world and add value to others that you can use your experience to inspire and motivate others. I for many years have worked in advertising for brands I sometimes felt didn't resonate with my values. I always knew I wanted to help people but I was always afraid to take risks but Ive found my voice and strength again to want to create meaningful work and work with clients who I felt I could add value to and make a difference in someones life. Which has made every day so worth the ups and downs that come with design. Im in the process of upskilling myself so I can start a business and work with clients who want to make a noise and a difference in the world. my goal is to to make enough money to open up a ladies halfway house to honour my best friend who died from the grips of addiction and have a safe haven for people to go to and the way I want to get there is by designing and sharing/ teaching. I believe in advertising we have an opportunity to influence people in a positive way and I want to help make an impact.
