Donna-Lynn Baskin

I am an educator, artist, and perennial student, having long ago realized my lifelong learning pathway winds its butterfly effect through every moment as teachable and, paradoxically, both transient and indelible. I am an enthusiastic faculty member of the School of Developmental Studies at Aurora College, a busy community volunteer, a sketchnote and graphic recording junkie, and occasional online facilitator. Throughout this trajectory, I indulge my creative aspirations, with a particular fondness for drawing and painting, narrative crochet, illustrative embroidery, auto-ethnographical and life writing, as well as yoga, aquafit, progressive muscle relaxation, and prolific reading. My spare bedroom moonlights as my online learning venue and art studio, as I am currently working on a Master’s degree in the integrated studies of anthropology, visual thinking, and education. Most importantly, I am the proud matriarch of two beautiful daughters and adorable grandson. While my roots are meander all across Canada, I and my two furry side-kicks, Griffin and Violet, now call Yellowknife, NT, home.
