Alan Rolle

Drawing and painting have played a fulcral role in my life. Have a BA in Fine Art Painting from University of Plymouth UK and a Masters in Expressive Arts Therapy from the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee Switzerlan, and in the recent years been training in Illustration. l started with a free course of scientific illustration which appealled to me imediatly due to its meticulous and scrupulous method and attention to detail allowing me to develop the use of traditional media such graphite, watercolour, guoache chinese ink and learning new techniques such graphite powder and scratchboard. This motivated me to do a technical course in illustration and graphic production (ESAD) where I expanded my interest to other areas such as chidlren's books, digital media, bookbinding, pop-up, paper craft and introduced into typography, I utilised numerous of these skills to start my own projects. Developied two children's books from writing, illustrated to developing the page layout, typography cover design which wa a rich learning experience inpendent that they have not yet been published. .Made my own pop-up cards. Have also been studying human anatomy to learn to do portraits. Projects until now have been self iniciated. My purpose and intention of doing this course is to gain the skills and tools to be to promote myself and enter into the market.
