It’s ‘win-tuh,’ kind of like how British folk say ‘winter.’ I was born in Saudi Arabia to an Ethiopian father and an Eritrean mother. I was told that my dad was shocked to see my colossal octopus head in the delivery room. But he got used to it pretty quickly.
