Uttara Parekh

I am an enthusiastic Architect, Designer and a writer, avid traveler, photographer and painter. I have also been actively involved in leading Heritage Walks in my city, Bhavnagar in association with Sahapedia & India Heritage Walks or as regular walks every month, also making huge installations and wall murals to designing stages for various events.
I did my internship under Ar. Eugene Pandala at the Center for Sustainable Built & Natural Environment (CSBNE) in Kollam, Kerala. I worked on various projects like mud, wood and ferrocement furniture, an Eco-resort, residences, office and a spa. The work was done with hand sketching, AutoCad, 3D modelling software like SketchUp and further rendered on Lumion.
I have volunteered and attended many hands-on workshops like the Architecture is to Culture Workshop in Bhutan, Earthen Building Workshop at Dharmalaya Institute in Bir, Himachal Pradesh and Place Making and Bamboo Workshops at Auroville, Pondicherry and Heritage Interpreters Workshop, Bhavnagar. Which makes me good at material exploration and implementing all I have learnt.
Since I am greatly inspired by sustainable and green environment.
Being a traveler, I have seen different cultures and love being among people of diverse backgrounds which makes me good at communication and interpersonal skills. I am knowledgeable with various concepts, techniques and good with communication with vendors and documentation.
