Tom Hughes

Ph.D. in 1992 in CAD auto routing wires in computer chips. Figures in my Ph.D. dissertation include curvilinear wiring by writing programs to generate PostScript using features such as hidden line removal and highlighting the outline of union of polygons. I worked in semiconductor design for 30 years before transitioning to entrepreneur engineer and angel investing.

Most recent project was coding Python on Raspberry Pi for a new coffee roasting appliance we are developing as a startup. Not happy with the quality of the GUI in that project so looking at Javascript to pretty up my touchscreen interface and also for some moving graphics for a website for another project.

I'm from the US but lived in Brazil as a teenager. Currently splitting between the US and the Philippines.
