I've been involved in the arts most of my adult life. I began making leather wall hangings back in the 70s and have some pieces displayed across the United States. I transitioned into wheel-thrown pottery with a focus on Sgraffito and pursued that for a number of years. From there I developed an interest in textiles. I created beautiful one-of-a-kind jackets and decorative items in the crazy quilt style with much hand embroidery and beadwork. This led to an interest in jewelry-making, which I have pursued for ten years or so, making bead embroidered items and most recently peyote-stitched designs. I am currently engaged in colored pencil art, with a focus on a portrait type style of mostly birds and individual pets. I am interested in learning how to incorporate water color with colored pencil work, and just learning techniques of looseness in design with water color.
