I’m a Singaporean documentary filmmaker and I'm planning to move to Barcelona by the end of this year. I travel, direct, shoot and edit, and have been doing so for almost 7 years now. I produce documentaries for government organisations and broadcasters. This was for Discovery Channel,  where I directed a documentary on a dementia care resort that doubles as a resort for tourists. I've also worked with healthcare design consultancies like The Care Lab (formerly known as Fuelfor Healthcare Innovation) onboard as a research filmmaker. The first project with Fuelfor and DesignSingapore Council was called 'Beyond Jamu'; it required me to travel with the Fuelfor team of researchers to Indonesia. We produced a series of 24 documentaries in 3 cities - Surabaya, Jakarta and Medan, under the Asian Insights and Design Innovation (AIDI) programme of DesignSingapore to understand and highlight how Indonesians of the middle and upper-class seek rejuvenation in response to the stresses in their lifestyles. In 2015, I worked with Fuelfor and the National Council of Social Services to create films under the project title 'Who Cares?' to show the daily struggles and battles caregivers in Singapore face. We were awarded the prestigious President's Design Award in July 2018. I’m also working with WWF to produce films on environmental issues and climate change. I have also an upcoming project with ARNEC to document Early Childhood Education in China.
