Itumeleng Nkone

Hello, my name is Itumeleng S. Nkone .Known to most as Schaba Ranx and well I have loved art since I was 2,after discovering what a piece of coal could do on a plastered surface. After that I nose dived into the art of drawing and naturally as tenacious as I was at that age I drove my Parents crazy when I drew on stuff I was not supposed to.

It was basically like instinct and I thrived on it ,Look at it like this: The 90's was like a golden era for me because at that time: action ,sci-Fi ,cartoons and anything connected to art that appears in Pop culture was extremely fascinating to me so it amplified my inspiration to the point where I experimented with all sorts of things and to my delight a story telling tool to share with friends and family which made it even more interesting because you can get critique for free where you can also improve on any blind spots you missed .

I was 1st introduced to cartoon strips on news papers and magazines but I'm not quite sure when I was introduced to main stream comics really but what I can say is the 1st comic I've ever seen was done in pen on a classic A5 72 page exercise book ,I forget his name but His work is what gave me the Idea that it was possible and I really wanted to try, I mean I would stop at nothing to become number one.

Fast forward to my High school years and I was introduced to a friend who gave me my 1st taste of anime then another of manga. It blew my mind with the way the Japanese Mangaka's and animators take the world by storm with their over the top action scenes and fast pace animation propelled me into starting my own doujinshi as it were and so began my journey into true authentication that is mandatory for all artists to survive in this ever competitive industry.

Here I am today still struggling with an art block from time to time and wrestling with my artist's ego.
