Samantha Garras

I have been drawing plants and nature for many years and 2 years ago i fell in love with embroidery. The textures and techniques fascinate me as also the slow, contemplative rhythms of the creative process. I use upcycled fabrics, giving new life to old pieces of clothing that would normally be discarded as rubbish. To me they are treasures to be reimagined and refashioned, given a new story to tell !
