Sabrina Dragoni-Long

am a British Citizen, born in Rome, to and English Mum and a late Roman Dad.

Family and close friends call me Sabry.

I used to be a professional singer/piano and keyboard player in live clubs and private parties around the world for more than 18 years, until I decided to completely change my life, and I have moved to and settled in most beautiful, mesmerising and magic London; now I happily work as an Administrative Coordinator in finance sector.

Life has been very generous to me and I consider myself extremely lucky, as I used to do a job that I adored and, when I decided to, I could change my life. I studied a lot and I still do; I am the typical example that, if we want, we can change the course of our life, even not at a very young age.

24th April 2010, on the very west gate of Hampton Court Palace, I met the LOVE OF MY LIFE, Andy, (the best amongst men, most romantic and honourable, talented and intelligent, with a most sensible soul) and our living fairy tale have begun... We fell in love, got romantically married on a Saturday, 23rd June 2012, and are very much in love with each other... We have adopted a rescued dog, Buster, a mix between a Jack Russell and a Whippet; Buster is a little devil that loves cuddles and doggie treats.

In 2015 I rediscover my old passion for studying. I undertook an online course on Anglo Saxon poetry at the University of Oxford; then I did two courses on Medieval Manuscripts, then a course on the history and legend of King Arthur. In late 2015 I attended Archaeology in practice online course (always at Oxford) and in 2017 Who Are the Celts? About Iron Age Europe societies.

I used to smoke like a chimney until 10th October 2007 when I presented myself with what I consider the best gift ever... I gave up smoking.

In November 2020 I have become a Master Reiki I also love making little sculptures and painting, decoupage, knitting, crocheting, and arts and craft; I have a huge passion for animals and outdoors, for Archaeology, Literature, History, Museums, Medieval castles and English countryside, King Arthur, drama, cinema and, of course, Music.

I volunteered for National Trust, Historic Royal Palaces (Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace), English Heritage, Museum of London Archaeology and Three Cs, a charity that takes care of people with mental issues and learning disability. I am very active in DE&I sphere. I had been co-lead of the Education & Training Subcommittee of Moody's MINDs EMEA BRG, an internal body that works hard to break the stigma around Mental Health and normalise the conversation about it. I am at present the co-lead for Communications & Membership for Moody's B.I.G (Black Impact Group)m , working hard as an ally, in order to help Black people to be integrated in the Corporate world.
I am also a certified Mental Health First Aider, a certified First Aider and a Samaritan Listening Volunteer.

I am a people person and I love company; I am an enthusiastic and a happy bunny, very passionate, always eager to discover new things and keen on learning; I love travelling to discover new ways of living and thinking. I am very curious towards life and grateful to it... the glass is always half full... no matter what... And if, at times it is empty, we can always refill it...

There's so much beauty in this world...
