I am a mother Of 1; that 1, has 6 children. It doesn't matter to me where they came from-they are all mine now. Once my daughter finished her college degree, I left the accounting profession where I was generally the head of finance and administration, to go back to get my PhD in literature so I could teach (college), which I have been doing since 2004. COVID hit and I have been put on a kind of standby until they figure out how many students may come back, so that they can decide how many part time professors to bring back in the fall, if any.

That brings me to now! For those of you who may or may not know me, my granddaughter has been fighting cancer for the last 3 years, and while the loss of a job I love has taken me to some dark places, not working has been a blessing in many ways; I have had the flexibility to help transport and take care of Abby, it is also has brought me closer to God, rethinkinfg what is important in life, building on family relationships, and it has brought me here; a space to learn, grow as a human and help others. You cannot beat that! Thank you for inviting me into your group. I am very excited about my new creative path and organizatoon.
