About Me – Loren Qualls, Filmmaker

I’m a filmmaker and visual storyteller driven by bold narratives, emotional depth, and provocative themes. My work blends dystopian fiction, political horror, and human drama to challenge viewers and invite reflection on the world around us.

I’m currently developing Mouth Amuser, a dystopian political horror-satire set in a corporatized theocracy in near-future America. The story follows a grieving father uncovering a brutal, food-based caste system. Visually and thematically, the film draws from influences like Children of Men, Léon: The Professional, and Blade Runner 2049, combining immersive realism with stylized tension.

I approach filmmaking with a deep respect for world-building, performance, and craft, often pulling inspiration from directors like Park Chan-wook, David Robert Mitchell, and Akira Kurosawa. My background includes both directing and hands-on production, with an emphasis on creating visceral, politically aware cinema that resonates long after the credits roll.
