This is my pre-final work. I might take some time to get the print.
I really enjoyed this course. Thanks Amy Pearson. You explained everything very well and it was a pleasure to follow your steps.

I have ordered 2 Giclee prints from Tokyo (I am living in Japan): Tokugawa Editions.
They printed it on A3 Hahnemühle and Canson watercolor paper. The quality is really very nice and the texture looks like watercolor. I have played around today with adding some more color and gold and will post it tomorrow. But I think I prefer the Original.
Hi Amy,
I have now added some personal touches, but I must say I am not really convinced that it made the print better. It is also a new feeling to paint on that printed paper. Watercolor sucks in too quickly and I can‘t play with the water. I wanted to add a slight touch of yellow to the hair but then it got much too saturated so I had to tune it down to brown. I had gold leaves but no medium to paint with so I added gold powder which can be mixed with water. Unfortunately it doesn‘t really stick on the paper.
I added a bit of color to the corals on the top right and more color to those on the bottom left. I also added some color to the girl‘s face. All in all it took me a few hours but I am not sure whether it made the print any better. Still. I am happy with the Giclee print. It really feels like watercolor and the details came out very nicely

Hi Andrea,
Thank you for sharing your final project! I particularly like the composition and the characters. it really draws the eye and flows nicely. Cant wait to see your finishing touches if you decide to add them after printing :)
Thanks Amy. I am now inquiring about printing possibility. I will definively add some touches. This will be fun :-)
@andreasnuggsart I love your 'Camille' piece! Its really vibrant and full of life, particularly the mixture of mediums and how they interact together. Well done!

Hi Amy,
Thanks for your comment. Camille is Marine‘s sister. They are both great for portraits.
And I never thought before taking your class that I could do a pencil drawing and render it in color in Photoshop. This is really fun. I will definitively keep drawing.
I am glad I took your class.
But I haven‘t found a printer in Japan yet for the Gicle print, yet. I had one drawing printed on my home printer which looked fine but is A4 on ordinary paper and another one at a professional printer which was far too dark.
Have a great day
And Merry Christmas to you!
Andrea
@andreasnuggsart Im really pleased that you enjoyed the technique! If you are struggling for printing, perhaps you can try to print onto drawing paper using your at home printer. I often print onto cartridge paper with my HP printer and it works pretty well. This should give a nice matte effect and allow you to practice adding touches if you wish.
Thanks Amy for your advice. I haven‘t got a color printer. I used the one at our school...
As I am in Japan, it is difficult to find Giclée printers. I can‘t read the Japanese characters and it is all in Japanese. But I intend to order from Europe. I still plan on adding those extra elements !
And a Happy New Year to you, Amy
Dear @amypearsondesign,
I have found a printer in Japan who does Giclee prints and can communicate in English. My prints will be delivered on Friday. I am so looking forward to seeing them on Hahnemühle and Canson paper and will definitively add some color touches.
Best wishes
Andrea
@andreasnuggsart Thats great! If you are happy with the quality, please feel free to share the details for the shop on the forum :)
