Introduction
A flower landscape, I love flowers......and wanted to use bright colours.

Supplies
Since I do not have a lot of supplies I used a small round wooden board I had. I bought student acrylic paint because this is my very first time working with acrylic. I bought paintbrushes from Temu and I had a squirrel hair paintbrush from many years ago I used for water colour painting that I have not done for years. Now that my children have left the nest I wanted to try something new. I used a small round sponge I took from a small tablet container to paint the sky the field of green and the white clouds. The pink flowers was done using a balloon that has a knot at the bottom turned to the inside of the balloon. Dipped it into paint and stamped the flowers on, made a little pink dot with a paint brush. The dots in the Daisy centre was done with a dotting tool.
Floral landscape
I adore flowers, any flowers. I often use Pinterest for ideas and inspiration and did an indebt study on drawing flowers first. I have done the sketchbook practice on a cheap piece of paper and messed green paint on it therefore the green stains on the bottom part. I at first felt a bit overwhelmed at starting the process of drawing and painting. I often work with feeling and no specific plan.

The Process
Attached is my thumbnails and composition drawing and sketchbook practice

The Final Painting
Not what I have planned in the sketchbook....but happy with the outcome. I tend to over detail the flowers and will have to work on working more loosely as I want to paint abstract flowers.....thinks this comes from painting watercolour and I added a lot of detail into my paintings.

Thank you for sharing, Karien.
I can see that you enjoy the process of painting and exploring new tools and your love of flowers. It's fun to use round boards :-)
You mention that you want a looser approach. Yes, if you usually paint the tiny details in your watercolor work, it is hard to let go of that, but the more you practice, the easier it will become. Don't worry about making perfect flowers. I try to paint the essence of the flower so it allows some freedom when it comes to depicting the forms. We can learn a lot from what we perceive as mistakes, so just keep going and enjoy the process.
