Building an Ethical Coaching Framework

This project documents my journey in developing a personal coaching framework grounded in ethics, self-awareness, and reflective practice. The goal was to move from theory to a clear, practical coaching foundation.

Materials, tools, and resources used:

- Coaching course materials and lesson notes

- Reflective journal (digital and handwritten)

- Coaching competency frameworks (ICF-aligned)

- Calendar and habit-tracking tools

- Word processing software for documentation

This stage focused on understanding core coaching principles, ethics, and self-awareness. I reflected on my motivations for becoming a coach and identified personal values that would guide my practice. Early feedback highlighted the importance of clarity, boundaries, and intentional growth, which shaped the direction of the project.

I developed a daily routine that included meditation, reflective journaling, and regular physical activity. These practices strengthened self-regulation, presence, and emotional awareness—essential skills for effective coaching. Progress was tracked weekly, noting both personal insights and professional development.

Based on my strengths and interests, I chose one-on-one coaching as my primary offering. I outlined session structures, identified a target audience, and explored entry-level pricing strategies aligned with my experience and the value provided. Teacher feedback encouraged simplicity, focus, and ethical positioning as a new coach.

In the final stage, I refined the framework by integrating feedback from the instructor and peers. Adjustments included clearer session goals, stronger ethical grounding, and improved documentation. The final project represents a practical, reflective coaching foundation that I can continue to evolve as I gain experience.
