For my final project, I created a poster series titled “Urban Rhythm”, inspired by the geometric harmony hidden in everyday kitchen objects. I chose the kitchen because it’s the heart of most homes—an organized chaos of form, color, and function. I wanted to transform that mundane, intimate space into a celebration of shapes, rhythm, and urban energy.
I imagined this series being displayed in public dining spaces, cafes, or even metro station walls, inviting people to see beauty in the ordinary and reflect on how geometry shapes our daily interactions.

Inspiration - Shape Sketch
I photographed and sketched a group of kitchen objects: a colander, wooden spoon, citrus juicer, spice jars, and a cutting board. These objects naturally lent themselves to bold shapes and negative space interaction. Then I isolated key geometries from these objects and reduced them to clean, repeatable forms. For example, the spoon became a capsule shape, and the citrus juicer translated into radiating triangles from a central circle. Using Illustrator, I built a layered geometric composition with bold, clean lines and rhythmic repetition. The forms subtly hint at utensils, containers, and food movement without being literal. The final poster plays with symmetry and asymmetry, reflecting how urban life—like cooking—is a constant balance of structure and improvisation.
