Hi Jessica, Thanks for the great course and base drawings. My mother was also a seamstress and I remember trips to the fabric store and looking through the patterns. Do they even exist anymore? She tried to teach me to sew but I have no talent but she did pass on to me a love of fabric, color and fashion.
This project was inspired by a trip to Malaysia that I made many years ago, the beauty of the country but also the gorgeous batik fabrics you can buy in the street markets. And of course my love of the impressionists and the watercolours of Singer Sargent.
I had intended to do a sarong but that didn't work out so I opted for pyjamas. I don't have Photoshop so I used Procreate instead. You can do similar things but you have to go about it a bit differently.

I do see some fabric stores still have those books, just not as many any more.

Thank you for your kind words. I need to work on my figure drawing a bit. It's sort of hit and miss, LOL.
