Hi Weadette,
Congratulations on completing my Domestika drawing course from '21. It's cool to read about your living adventures in South America, and the piece you made for Realistic Drawing has a special kind of narrative energy. It's lively like a graphic novel/part-caricature image, with an wonderful facial expression.
...Before I move wholesale into vocalize feedback on the wrong drawing (Diego's job!) I'll just say that the final project for this course is meant as a "mash-up" between sculpture and drawing. In the linear image (# 1) you come the closest to this by articulating the top of the child's head. Had we been drawing together, my next recommendation would have included "incising" the eye sockets of that young man into your box, rather than relying upon dark shapes to designate them.
The most striking way to transform your drawing proficiency will be to instill certain considerations of depth into the work you do. The ideal in this final project would be the region in/around the ear - the side of the head. It may be more quickly realized via an in-person course at The Art Students League of New York, with/from a live model.
Regardless, I am gratified by your involved and substantive final work, and I hope I've helped grease the pavement for your future growth.
Warm regards,
Dan
