Mon projet du cours : Reliure sans plis de votre œuvre graphique

Here is my project.
I had no artwork to use.
So I worked with white sheets, and made 2 sketchbooks.

I challenged myself (like the first course) : just use what I had at home.
For the glue, I made with sugar and flour.
I used cardboard and protective paper from parcels received, to make the covers.
For the body, I had a lot of paper.

The Concertina is not made with bifolio.
I don't know if it's really an accordion, because I cut and folded the paper like a maze.

For the sketchbook, I made small mistakes.
Wrong number of holes, so I have 2 seam sizes (but that's not a problem).
And I glued a little too much (on the back after sewing), some pages are a little damaged (but very little, so not a problem too).
The bifolios are made with 2-3 sheets inside each other, so I don't have to sew a lot of bifolios.
The spine is not visible as I didn't want to cut my paint.
So when you cut the 5 pieces for the spine :
- a spine size (thickness)
- 2 for the joint (1 cm each)
- 2 last, as long as the rest of the cover

And the 5 pieces were glued directly on my board, then on the cardboard covers.

I'm really happy with these handmade sketchbooks, now I have to draw ;)
