My project for course: Extraordinary Embroidery: Explore Alternative Organic Materials

Thank you Hillary for a lovely, inspiring course. I have all sorts of leaves now at various stages of drying - am hoping to work with gingko leaves, as I love them, and trust they will not be too fragile.
For this piece I used magnolia leaves, poppy pods and a jacaranda seed pod. I reinforced the edges of the skeleton magnolia leaves with a thin coat of PVA - then embroidered on top with fine silk thread.
