I decided to do an illustration of Tom Holland as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Far From Home for this course, I've done quite a few of him already and wanted to try a new piece following the course process.

Reference and Initial Sketch

Painting
Blocking in main colours and then working into each area adding more detail.
After blocking in the face, I wasn't happy with the overall looks (shown below) so I reworked it and was much happier with it and was able to work on the details.

Background
This is the original background I was working on but I wasn't happy with how it was looking. So I started it again and feel this one fits much better with the portrait and the overall feeling I want to capture with this piece. It's also similar in colours with a previous illustration I have done from the same scene.

Thank you Sam for a fantastic course, I've really enjoyed learning some new things about what I love doing.

Teacher Plus@ryan_rigby_ Sorry for the slow reply on here, this is great! Really cool to see your process too. I feel like the angle from his chin to his jaw just needs to be a little steeper/sharper, and the right eyebrow needs to curve out a little more smoothly from the top of the nose perhaps, but these are small point, and you've certainly captured him well. The background change was also a great decision.

@samgilbey thank you so much for your feedback Sam! I struggled with them areas and hopefully will be able to refine small details like that with more practice :)
Thanks again for this amazing course, I've been using what I've learned in all my work since and it's been incredibly useful :)
