Thank you for sharing your project!
Well done for having the courage to draw! Your drawing is not bad (as you said) and the more you do it, the better it will get! Don't be discouraged :)
I actually love how visual your sketchnotes are.
If you would like to progress your drawing and the clarity of your images, you can try to look for the most easily recognisable item in a topic focus your drawing on that.
For example:
In the expression 'smoking people' you can draw a bunch of people smoking (as you did). In the drawing the cigarette is fairly small and could be difficult to recognise without the writing.
To make the drawing itself clearer, you could do several simplifications:
- just draw one person with a cigarette
- zoom in just on the face and upper body of the smoking person (and you could put the cigarette into the mouth instead of the hand)
- Just draw a big cigarette (without the person)
With each step of simplification, the image will become clearer and easier to recognise.
You drawing doesn't need to represent ALL the aspects of the concept. You can pick the most important aspect (in this case the cigarette) and trust that the other aspects will be communicated in the text (many people smoking).
I’d like to ask you as well, if it would be OK to share your sketchnote on my instagram / in my newsletter. If so, please do let me know and also let me know how you’d like to be credited (your name / instagram handle).
Keep up the great work and all the best for your next sketchnotes!
