My project for course: Illustrating Fantastical Animals with Procreate

MY PROJECT/STORY
For my project I have chosen one of the animal characters of Frederiko's world. Frederiko is a gnome/pixy. He lives with his animal and creature friends in the forest of the Taunus. There is a lot of magic going on.
The character for the project is a squirrel. She is anarchistic and very nosy. But she has also a soft heart. She is an explorer and has discovered a lot of places. On the many exploration trips she unfortunately has some fights with some unkindly animals. In two of the fights she could snatch some trophies - a tooth of a boar and a feather of a raven. Furthermore she has some magic nuts with some special power.

NEW SKILLS
I have learn a lot of new things in this class:
- using silhouette to check if your character stands out visually
- managing ligth and shadows
- combining the main character with the background
- learning not to go for the first idea but make variety of some different ideas (props, items and color)
- and some other minor details here and there

CONCLUSION
I have a lot of fun in this class! I will go definitely for more characters in my new Frederiko's world. I already have a lot of ideas.
