I had this bisque fired slab built bowl lying around. It was fired to 1000 degrees centigrade so next time I’ll bisque fired to a lower temp. I had a sharp needle tool to work with so the scratching was a bit tricky but it worked out ok for my first go!

Hi Sarah! Thank you so much for sharing your project and congratulations! You've already managed to get very fine lines even with the "hardest" cookie. With a lower burn you will see that it gets smoother. Be sure to research different tools, sometimes their composition and density can also influence the tracing. Congratulations again and keep up the great work!
@samuelcasal what clay body you are using for your plates? Is it porcelain or stoneware? Thanks
The pieces that I use at the moment are made from a mold, using liquid mass (here it is called slip).
