I had started this painting as a practice of some of the various methods I learned in this class: eye details, salt, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, different brushes, different washes... But what I ended up with was something I was happy enough to share as the final project for this course. This is my old 'gal, Reykja - from a photo I took a few months ago.
Thank you, Sarah, for teaching me _so many_ new skills! I now feel confident enough to start exploring watercolour on my own (although I will be signing up for at least one of your other classes). You haven't just taught me how to do something I've wanted to explore for years - you've provided me an outlet for finding peace and centering myself during a very stressful and tumultuous time, and for that I can't find the right words beyond a simple, heartfelt *thank you*.

Teacher PlusWow, what lovely words. I’m truly touched by them. I’m so glad that you’ve not only got to paint this incredibly beautiful piece of Reykja, but that you also experienced the meditative peace that painting can bring. Thank you so much for your kind words and massive congratulations on a superb piece of work. Those crystal clear blue eyes work so well with the drops of rusty oranges in the fur. Beautiful!
