Ciao Gustavo,
this is my ongoing project about Venice life and streets.
I would be very happy if you tell me what you think about and if you give me some advice on how to continue.
Thank You!
Hi @simone_toson
Thank you for taking the course and submitting your project.
The project is very well done, both by the individual photos and by the narrative you built, with the transitions between day and night and also between the mood of the images.
Clearly, you have a good sense of light, composition and color. I really like the first photo, with the legs and the dog in the foreground, the gondolier in the middle and the tourists in the background. The second is a little simpler, but serves as a transition. In the third, the look of the woman passing by is very strong. It's a great start to the narrative. The next three are good, but maybe I would leave out the 4 and 5, keeping the 6.
From 7, you totally change the mood of the series, and it gets even more interesting. I really like the quieter scenes, like the girl looking at the sea, the two oriental girls on the stairs in the rain, the girl in the alley also in the rain, and the last one, who is wonderful. Anyway, I think you already have a lot of strong images, and you will definitely continue to create meaningful images. The big challenge will be afterwards, to edit the work well, removing those that are unnecessary and leaving only those that stand out not only for their composition, but also for their content.
Hello Simone, I leave you with my appreciation for this series, which has the double merit of collecting images with a very pleasant workmanship and impact and of investigating under the surface of Venice visible to all. Good boy
