I’d like to share a small story of how fun, motivating, and refreshing this course was for me as I was taking this course while I took on a job for my freelance work:
Aside from being a digital illustrator, I began to study content creation using different medias (i.e. video editing, animations, branding deisgn, etc.), and at the same time trying to broaden my knowledge on social media (specially instagram) and I happen to see Dot Lung’s course non-stop on my Facebook Feed (my thoughts back then was between “wthell?” and “Is this a sign?” Haha)
Fast forward, a client of mine (a real estate seller) asked me to do a one (1) month worth of campaign ads for her and her team’s IG accounts, to create content that is more personal, not focusing too much on hard selling, and for me to make it timely & relatable.
*I didnt handle their account, but i was in charge of its contents for this Project
I studied the brand’s identity and made use of the available resources my Client provided. Then I moved on to planning my campaign proposal. Sadly, I got stuck at one point and struggled creating content…
But then again, I know I needed to find some creative juice, so i said to myself that time, “screw it, instead of spending more time to brainstorm ideas a day before the submission of my campaign proposal, I’ll purchase and marathon half of this course until 2am”- and boy it was one of the best decision I made. I’ll bring my learnings from this course to the future projects to come.
