Cover: I didn't have leather for a cover but I had some book cloth which I printed on my inkjet printer. design repeat came from a lino cut depicting the wind and the albatross is a lino cut.
Story: The book is about an encounter with an Albatross. I combined watercolour and the photographs in Photoshop and created the page layout which I inkjet printed on to some cartridge paper.
I think it would have been better had I used a after paper.
The book was really square until I opened it after drying the project for a week but it has gone slightly skewed since opening. I wondered if this might be due to squeezing the bifolios under too much weight when I glued them. I used hand made flax paper tissue after the pages were glued and there is a possibility it may have shrunk.
Overall I am happy with the result even though there is are slight irregularities in the pages due to innacurate cutting. I did later discover that putting makers on the page layout would have helped.
A great course with good demonstrations and lots of information. Even though I don't have Spanish I loved it.
Thank You Susanna.
Thank you so much to you, Maggie! I love the project, and enjoyed reading and watching the adventure of both Albert's and yours :) @maggie_dawson1
In the pics I cannot appreciate the 'skew' you mention, but yes, too much weight could have been the cause.
Thanks a lot again for showing us your very interesting project.
