Phyllis Masso

I was a school librarian for about 20 years. When our 4 children had grown up, graduated from university and married, my husband and I fulfilled a lifelong dream to work in a developing country as Christian missionaries. I worked in a university library for a while, but then ended up starting a small children's home for school-aged boys at risk (mainly orphans) in Kenya. We retired to the US in 2016 after serving there for 18 years, and my husband passed away the following year. I continue to help run the children's home, mainly financially and administratively and visited every year once or twice a year as a trustee until COVID. I recently have tried doing a little art and I especially enjoy birds, landscapes and portraits and have been trying watercolor. I am hoping gouache will be easier. I am very much a beginner. I have had the privilege to travel extensively in the US, Africa, South and Central America, Israel and Europe and have many photos from those trips.
