Paola Catamo

I am a Graphic and Motion Designer based in Bristol, with a passion for traditional illustration and stop motion animation.

I looked into this course because I am addicted to folklore stories, surrealistic art and watercolor.

I never manage to get an art degree, but while living Japan for study reasons, I got sucked into the art scene that draws no boundaries to the imagination. I then decided to change my career path and teach myself motion graphics and here I am, trying to learn anytime I can.

Now I finally decided to take my Illustrations seriously and try to explore my ideas by learning how to control watercolor for professional use.

I love Japanese style Illustrations and some of my influences are Gobelin, Laika studios, Tim Burton & Miyazaki.
