I've been an artist since I could hold a crayon in my highchair back in the early 1960s. Although we couldn't afford professional training, I worked my way up, landing jobs in newspapers and graphics agencies as an illustrator and designer for several years. Once I stayed home to raise and homeschool my "four masterpieces," I began what turned into a home publishing business of illustrated materials to help teach history. We've now been in business for over 20 years, however it was always printable line art and I've been VERY anxious to get back to fine art. ... "when I retired." Well, I'm not exactly retired, but now that some time has freed up, I'm able to knock off the rust and begin again in what seems like a whole new world... there are SO many new forms of medium and resources available now, and ones I never got a chance to try in my younger years—I feel as excited as a kid in a candy store, wanting to try everything!
