Natalie Anaya Luna

I am a painter working mainly in oils and currently looking to expand to watercolors, gouache and mixed media. My approach focuses on figuration and realism, all the while engaging in a visual dialogue with abstraction. I am interested in the depiction of textures, materials and color as expressive and simbolic tools that can support and complement figurative realism. I have shown my work in galleries and museums in Puerto Rico and the US. I recently ended a six-year break in my art practice, during which I took care of my daughter who has a rare, life-threatening genetic condition. I have also worked as a translator, interpreter and foreign language teacher of French, German and Spanish.
