Sofia Gali

Ever since she was little, Sofia loved books and stories very very much. She always had to have them around her, so she decided to become a student for the rest of her life. She studied languages and then Political Sciences at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (because it involved a lot of books). But she missed stories, so she left for France to learn how to draw at the École Européenne Supérieure de l’Image (ÉESI) in Angoulême where she earned her DNAP. Back in Athens, she made books for children and participated in exhibitions, but she really wanted to go back to France. And that’s where she lives today with her companion and her super cute dog who looks like a fox. Her illustrations have been exhibited at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and she was a finalist at an international picture book competition.
