Miguel Essers

Hi there! My name is Miguel and live near Maastricht, The Netherlands.

I work as a professional creative since 1990 and was self-employed (graphic design, branding & identity) for almost 20 years. The last 3 years of that period I developed interactive installations and focused on experiential design for well known A-brands in Germany, Austria, France and The Netherlands, with Heineken as my best known client. (google for ‘Superlucid’, if you like).

Also 2D-animation and stop-motion (hand-drawn and paper-art) has my attention.

Today, I am setting up a new studio for illustration and illustration based graphic design for commercial, educational and editorial purposes.

My focus lies on working with watercolour, coloured pencil and pen & ink, my favourite tools. Ideal for my vivid and sketchy style that works well for so many people.
