Michael Sweeney

I’m a 60 yr old frustrated artist. I love art, I love to look at it, and I try to make it, but having left school at 16 and straight into a labour intensive job, I never had the time or the energy to carry on with art.
I’m unemployed now due to that labour intensive job as it has damaged my body and I’m now suffering because of it. With that said, I’d love to fall back in love with what I like to do most, and that is trying to get better at making art. There are many many artists and styles that I like from the masters to Banky. I love print and sculpture but I’ve never had the time or energy to be able to take up digital platforms, so I’m starting from a low bass here.
I do consider myself a fast learner so I need all the help I can get to enable me to enjoy the art I make instead of being frustrated at not knowing how to use a computer to do illustration work.
I would also dearly love to learn how to paint, in all mediums. I feel like my brain is like a sponge at the moment, trying to absorb all this info, however just like a sponge most of that info is trickling out of my head . So I’m here to learn and learn I will.
